Blue Mountain Rider: Lyannae

Lyannae and Fly carrying the BMR flag at a 2005 parade.

I caught the horse bug when I was really young and finally got my first horse when I was eleven. He was a three and a half year old green broke Quarter horse named Casper and he taught me almost everything I know about riding, as well as the best way to land on my butt. I sold him when I left town and was horseless for several years. I was finally able to have a horse again when I was in Tennessee but unfortunately I had to put her down six months after I got her. Forest Moon was only a year old when her kidneys failed. (Lesson learned: Never buy a horse unless you run coggins first!!). That took a lot out of me so I walked away from horses, I didn’t think I could own one again after that. Then I met a 5 year old Quarter horse named Wicked Flight a.k.a. ‘Fly’, who had an injury and needed a good home. Due to his injury he isn’t able to do any gaming, but he still needed a job. That is when I heard about the BMR’s and decided to join the parade group. Fly loves it as much as I do. We really enjoy being part of such a great team.

"Fly" loves to ham it up whenever the camera comes out to
take his picture!!
